Maybe Canada should give the new "CFL Football Peace Prize" to Trump to grease the negotiations?

The view from my doctor's office at Health Sciences Centre. It's pretty incredible how inexpensive housing is in this neighborhood considering it's a stone's throw from Manitoba's largest hospital. #Winnipeg

The Bisons let another win slip away, this time against Calgary after a weak 4th quarter performance.

For a team with big national championship aspirations going into this season, they are struggling a lot more than I expected. Hope there's time to turn things around. #HornsUp

At one time in my skyscraperpage forum days I would have taken umbrage at this, but I have frankly stopped expecting any better of this city #Winnipeg
Should be grounds for dismissing the entire city council just for even considering it
A drive-thru-only McDonald’s restaurant could make its Canadian debut at a grocery store parking lot in Winnipeg, pending city council approval.

Strangely this happened on a weekend which meant it didn't get much local attention. But it's nice to see some new housing going up on the site of the old Shanghai Restaurant on King Street.

Nice to see a Montreal team get the job done against Sask. This Pepe Gonzalez kid looks like he has a bright future.

This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.

Valour FC's demise, and FC Edmonton's before it, demonstrates the massive challenge of building a national league when the three largest markets are already engaged with another country's national league.

No Tor/Mtl/Van means minimal media coverage for the CPL and little presence. It's doomed.

Now it's official. Valour FC operations are suspended.

It's unfortunate that they couldn't right the ship and rack up some wins to keep local soccer fans coming.

Winnipeg has now lost two sports teams in the last three years (Winnipeg ICE in 2023) and I can't say I love that feeling...
Seeing online chatter among CPL fans about the fate of Valour FC. Apparently they aren't selling season tickets for 2026 nor are they processing renewals, and it's driving speculation that the club is effectively dead.

My last two water/sewer bills added up to $1300 for a family of four. I know rates have gone up, but that seems like a lot... Easily double what I was paying a year ago.
