this might make some cranky. i admit i rarely like remakes. however, i find the 1999 version of #thethomascrownaffair more exciting than the 1968. i've watched it a million times and will watch it a million more. there, i said it.

i am always conflicted by separating the art from the artist. does the art have less merit because the person was an ill-behaved human? picasso, woody allen, hitchcock, hemingway, etc. should there be limits of acceptable/tolerable behavior? i don't have the answer. don't know i ever will...

a #hitchcock classic, #rearwindow premiered in nyc in sept 1954. the entire film was shot on one set and the apartment-courtyard alone measured 98 feet wide, 185 feet long, and 45 high, and consisted of 31 apartments, 8 of which were completely furnished.
