Computer Vision has been around so long and is so good now that radiologists have more or less given up on doing anything manually. If they want to get their skills back up in the funniest irony ever the AI supervises their meat-learning

and like all it ever needed was a Quadro in a plain PC
We could save soooo many lives but people are so caught up in their reactionary moral panic nonsense
November 29, 2025 at 8:18 PM
well I suppose not all Scientists are Computer Scientists who can say "unequivocally no they fucking aren't" and prove it by showing how they work
can’t fucking catch a breath

a thing that really stuck with me from a historical novel I read years ago was a guy leaving a tavern v drunk and getting in his carriage confident that his horse knows the way home

House of Cosbys is funny but this shit is unwatchable bad

twice today I've seen AI output applied to real life by someone who could not make the threshold to make the output honestly and you could give a surgery robot to a monkey and the monkey will think it's accomplished something
A racist TV show made with the assistance of Sora has attracted millions of viewers. Tyler Austin Harper argues that it could be “the harbinger of a new entertainment landscape where extremist AI shows will jockey for our attention with more anodyne ones”:
The Will Stancil Show Could Be the Future
A racist TV series making fun of a minor social-media celebrity has attracted millions of viewers—and demonstrates the alarming possibilities of AI.

how did it think it was a CSV file if it didn't parse it?
Not wanting to disappoint you so much that it lies is the last quality I want in a computer.

this phishing attempt wins for the most wrong. the device itself is two-factor, and it also is literally a FIDO device

or in easier terms it requires something you know *before* becoming something you have

my sister is studying for an AI privacy certification exam and I told her outright that there's nothing I can do except harm that effort with accuracy

proud though because she figured out on her own just through the absence of specificity that AI is a vibe label, not a concrete characteristic

okay does the LLM invocation have its user's gender in its fact set because it could make the statistically funniest inference about whose erection it's not supposed to trigger

what a coincidence! I've never believed in the term chief people officer

I prefer "Workplace Temple Grandin" anyway. "Some of them still figure it out", I can imagine them both saying

Imagine running a social media site in 2025 and not just starting with screaming that it's opt-in

Or that once they get a hash hit they have a real sample too which goes right to an image classifier that says if it's got a true anus in it or just Elon Musk
We're announcing a new partnership with StopNCII.org to prevent non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) from spreading on Bluesky. While NCII hasn't been frequent on our platform, these incidents are devastating for victims and preventing them is a top safety priority. 1/4

the water use of AI datacenters is being overblown by AI-haters exhausting all avenues

but also quickly reading a pro-AI-DC article raised a different lie: lower water usage than believable. It was something tiny like 50 million gallons nationwide

but physics fucking rats you out, every time

means-testing denied me any financial aid whatsoever for college.

I paid most of the way myself after my dad reneged on paying my sophomore year - sending me running to the bursar to fail simply because I could not satisfy the means test because it relied on my dad providing his tax returns
Periodically I see people justifying means-testing to ensure The Rich don't get stuff for free when they can afford it.

I see the logic, but we can just tax them more.

Plus, the BIGGEST thing not means-testing solves is

*deep breath*

IT STOPS RICH PEOPLE FINANCIALLY-ABUSING THEIR KIDS ANYMORE.
