While this particular annoying tech is new, for a long time now we've been on this societal slide toward "how can you expect me to figure this out without an Expert Guide"

infantilization is the word people say but it's actually anti-infantilization, because infants try shit out

"Israel, the only nation state of the Jewish people" is a mad button to push when you think about it, it's "Israel, the Jewish people's only ethnostate" blithely treating it as a lip-wibbling thing an ethnic group only has the one nation in which all other ethnic groups are to be rendered uncitizens
Two things that come to mind as I see this

1) Important to remember that Zohran Mamdani's relatively conciliatory approach to the issue of Palestine and his joy-based attitude does not actually stem any of the criticism.

2) It's doubtful that anyone in Democratic leadership comes to his defense

If you're wondering how deep the rot of transphobic hatred is in our media - here's the head of Reach plc and editor of the Daily Record.

Absolutely vile bigotry spouted from the very top of our media. Our society won't be free of hatred until people like him are gone from positions of power.

People have the right not to be discriminated against solely on the basis of a sincere religious, political or philosophical belief. That does not give them the right to discriminate against other employees. Such discriminatory behaviour may well see them face disciplinary action in the workplace.

A couple of notes. If you're a line manager in an organisation too small to have an HR department, check the ACAS website for best practise. www.acas.org.uk/acas-code-of...
HR departments countrywide need to start treating gendercrit employees as potentially hostile. As soon as you are required to interact with one, you dust off the rulebook, you dot every eye and cross every t, and you assume bad faith at every turn.

They are a threat to every organisation.

The BBC is now consistently using a transphobic slur to refer to trans people.

Transphobes are still not happy. That's still not hateful and cruel enough.

Yeah, how the fuck is this NOT defamatory, actually? That's not just spin, that's a straight up lie claiming that Upton, according to a legal ruling, harassed Peggie.
#C4News went above & beyond, reporting:

"a nurse has won a harassment claim against Dr Beth Upton."

No she didn't. NHS FIFE harassed her, not Upton.

This is almost defamatory, & they mentioned none of the dismissed parts or the implications for trans women in SS spaces. I complained to Ofcom.

The Daily Record has clearly been under instructions to make Anas Sarwar look less bad for having backed a racist who harassed her trans co-worker by just packing their paper with the most brazenly biased spins on the NHS Fife case available.

Scottish journalism, folks. What a sorry state it's in.

"Hey, would you mind changing somewhere else until we can get this transphobe out of your face?"

No wonder Sex Matters are actually reading it and are enraged, their prospectus of hatred as the default has taken another battering.
