The thing is, many leftists just see the support of Israel by Dems as evidence that there is no meaningful difference between them and the GOP. They specifically don't want their vote to be interpreted as supporting those policies. It's very similar to single-issue antiabortion voters.

Either leftists are too small a contingency to matter or they're impacting elections. If it's the former, then don't worry about how they vote, they aren't hurting anything. If it's the latter then Dems need to adjust to get their votes. It's really that simple.

A lot of leftists did vote for Dems in 2024. The reality is that Dems aren't just unappealing to online leftists (who are a fairly small contingent) they're not appealing to the overwhelming majority of Americans that don't really pay attention to politics but still vote.

Because under the current electoral system splitting the vote would only result in the GOP winning more elections.

India still has a caste system and its majority politicians are nationalists. They are failing to live up to the standards of their own constitution.
