I surveyed 43 hardcore PWHL fans on Reddit for their predictions on the 2025-26 regular-season standings. Here are the results (good news for Vancouver and Montreal fans, but not-so-good news for Boston Fleet fans):

Dignitaries present for the pregame festivities included Cyclone Taylor and Chief Dan George. Vancouver mayor Tom Campbell performed the ceremonial face off -- he was roundly booed. It took 5m 27s before the first fight broke out. Smoking was allowed in the rink, but no booze was sold. (2/3)

Friday's inaugural game for the PWHL's Vancouver Goldeneyes got me thinking about the first Canucks game at the Pacific Coliseum. It was on October 9, 1970, a 3-1 loss to the LA Kings. The game was NOT sold out -- 15,062 fans were in attendance. (1/3)
