He'll make his return against the Bears tomorrow.

The Bears are the No. 1 turnover team in the NFL by a mile. They create a bunch and don't give the ball away.

That can't cause Matt LaFleur to call a game scared of turning it over.

I wrote about it today for @theleap.bsky.social

www.theleap.football/p/matt-lafle...
Matt LaFleur has to be willing to "go down swinging" against the ball-hawking Chicago Bears
Jordan Love got to sling it against the Detroit Lions, but Dennis Allen's defense is the best turnover-forcing team in the NFL. LaFleur can't be too afraid of interceptions to let Love loose again.

The Packers defense will again have to play without Devonte Wyatt. The plan for filling his void along the interior will look different this time, however.

I wrote for @theleap.bsky.social about what that plan will involve and, just as importantly, what it won't.

The #Packers will have their hands full dealing with the #Bears run game.

Their secret weapon isn't a 320-pound defensive tackle.

It's a 200-pound defensive back with the bourbon name who is becoming a star.

Evan Williams keys the Packers' ability to stop the run against the Chicago Bears
It's not just the splash interceptions for the former Day 3 safety. Evan Williams has become one of the best run-defending defensive backs in the NFL and the Packers will need him in Week 14.

The Packers can retake the lead in the NFC North and perhaps even gain the inside track for the No. 1 seed in Week 14, but several matters linger over the team as Sunday approaches.

This week, I wrote for @theleap.bsky.social that the Packers could deliver the knockout blow to the Lions' hopes of repeating as NFC North champs.

Blow delivered.
Thanksgiving won't determine whether the Lions reach the playoffs, but their hopes of repeating as division champs will land on life support with a loss to the Packers.

Yes, Carrington Valentine should have caught at least one of the two passes that Jameis Winston threw to him.

It's not surprising, however. It's part of the reason he was available for the Packers in the seventh round two years ago.
