yeah ugh i don’t think we’ll be so bold as to leave the house overnight again 🙃 we’re really hoping his pet insurance will cover a lot of this, which it should, because if not we’ll be having a rough time 😔

we got to visit julian at the er vet this morning, he’s actually alert and making eye contact :’) we got him to eat a bunch which is what they were really wanting to see, hopefully he can come home this afternoon 🙏

like in theory, he should be able to go a couple days without insulin and be fine, but instead for some reason, maybe stress and ibs complications? he just, nope :(

well, he has diabetes and asthma and ibs lol 🙃 but we aren’t sure yet, our best guess at the moment is he was so stressed about someone new in the house feeding him that he refused to eat, and if he doesn’t eat he can’t get his insulin, so everything went to shit basically

they’re pretty sure that he’s gonna need to stay overnight at least, hopefully the blood tests gives answers so they don’t have to do x-rays and more stuff

on the way home we stopped at this bog of native carnivorous plants!!! they were so weird and cool and surprisingly big, like 3 feet tall!

The cobra lily is unique among the three genera of American pitcher plants. It does not trap rainwater in its pitcher. Instead, it regulates the level of water inside physiologically by releasing or absorbing water into the trap that has been pumped up from the roots.

i truly believe that if you write stuff you’re genuinely excited about, it has value! someone else out there will also be excited about it! some ppl say squares painted on canvas isn’t art, but some ppl are deeply moved by it you know, it’s incredible to create art and share it with people 💖
