Just a few months ago, they quietly fixed the LED lights in the starfield, during the descent, so it wouldn't surprise me if a few other older effects are updated.

Spaceship Earth is reopening from its refurbishment on October 25!

It closed on August 25, and two months isn't very long for a refurbishment. I'm curious to see if they made any updates other than routine ride maintenance or refreshing the existing scenes.

One of my favorite subtle details in Carousel Of Progress:
In the opening scene, Jimmy is looking through a stereoscope ("Ooh-la-la! So that’s Little Egypt doing the hoochie-koochie, eh Dad?"), while in the closing scene, he's looking through a VR headset. Well... that’s progress for you!

He learned all the tricks, and collected all the jokes, writing down every gag. “I knew every nook and cranny of the shop,” he recalls. Performing these gags in front of a live audience was a huge help in developing his early standup comedy routines.

He began by selling guidebooks at the gate, followed by selling souvenir spinning lassos in Frontierland.
Steve then spent three years at the old Merlin’s Magic Shop in Fantasyland. There, he sold and demonstrated the packaged magic tricks and practical joke items on sale.

Today is Steve Martin's 80th birthday!

Steve often speaks about his wonderful memories of working at Disneyland in his youth. From the age of 10 to 18, Steve worked at the Park after school, on weekends, and during the summer.
