I'm gonna say this: that bailiff MIGHT have a framed painting of Marsha Winfield above an altar in her house.

Hope she makes her coworkers call her Roz.

Time for Mod Hostess vs. the Volcano as I soon go to my 17 year thyroid cancer follow up. At the place that diagnosed me & fucked it all up. But not with the abusive, creeper Dr. Same office though. It has been a long, twisted road for a cancer dx that was sold to me as "so easy & curable!" #cansky

I just had A Time seeing Robert Plant live. I believe I was the only sober person in that audience.

Two guys behind me nearly came to blows. Then a woman ran up to me, grabbed my hand & stroked it, told me how beautiful my hair is & how she could see it from far away & that I smelled really nice.

In the AYA cancer community, why don't we talk about medical errors, bad medical care, or creeper doctors? Instead it's career, babies & other crap. This is why I never went to a support group!! That & they are designed for people who had chemo. Fuck you, shitty survivorship support! #cansky

Trump looks like a creepy college professor in the vein of Roth. It's honestly an improvement over how he usually looks. Strange times.
This is the first time I’ve seen him wear something like this… I think it’s a knit scarf, but he probably didn’t have any turtleneck sweaters in his closet.

Gotta see if @dieworkwear.bsky.social weighed in.

Spectacularly written essay. Bravo to Tatiana for using her platform as a writer and her name to bring attention to RFK Jr & the Trump Admin's murderous bullshit and how it affects real people.

Just an absolutely gutting essay by Tatiana Schlossberg, a writer, mother of two young children, and cousin of RFK Jr who is dying of leukemia.

NINETY!!!!!! Even in my cynical and non-trusting headspace when it comes to physicians and health care, I find this utterly shocking.
While pregnant, Tierra Walker had a cascade of health complications that threatened her life.

Of more than 90 doctors who were involved in her care, not one offered her an abortion, according to medical records.
“Ticking Time Bomb”: A Pregnant Mother Kept Getting Sicker. She Died After She Couldn’t Get an Abortion in Texas.
Walker is one of several women ProPublica found with underlying health conditions who died when they couldn’t access abortions.

I research people for a living. I had a free trial recently with a certain prospect research tool. It allegedly searches for you with AI to compile a giving history. It can't extract info from articles about giving, only donor honor rolls (lists). So I still have to do searches on the big 3.

Advice that’s also applicable when dealing with physicians and other healthcare professionals who talk down to women.
For me it's the way the press pool just quietly went along with it because he's the president

The entire point of this country is that we don't have to let some guy do whatever he wants just because of his title. We don't have to respect him or go along with him just because he holds an office
I don't know why the "Piggy" thing is bothering me so much. It's one more unforgivable thing in a list of 20,000 unforgivable things, but I've been mad about it for like 12 straight hours.

The context of this post, of course, pertains to rape and sexual assault.

Being a woman trying to get healthcare has a lot of similarities as does the trauma from being not believed and mistreated in a healthcare setting.
i am saddled with the thought of how different our world would be if we believed women.

It all would have been much easier if, as would have happened if we were remotely a serious country, it all ended with the Access Hollywood interview.

Hospitals. Do not let physicians and hospitals get off the hook here. They need to be lumped right in with churches and schools.
Yes there's a lot of denial, but I've seen it: when it snaps, it snaps hard.

"Powerful men covered up child sex abuse" isn't outlandish when you've seen that happen in church, boy scouts, school athletics, and every other social pillar of your conservative middle-class life in the past few decades.

They always know. No matter who the “they” is in your story or my story, they know.
I want to uplift the women who were girls who were raped by Epstein & Maxwell & Trump & ex-Prince Andrew & abandoned by everyone who's been scrambling lately to say that they didn't know of course they didn't know but they did know & some of them knew because they'd done it too.

Anybody who’s not in the cult knows that man is a sex offender and a pedophile. We’ve known that for years! Yet, here we are.

Of course, that’s just the tip of the iceberg with this personality disordered freak.
It's so bizarre that the breaking news today is yet more proof that Trump did exactly what everyone already knows he did

This situation blew up while I was on a very foggy walk, so I didn’t have time to send one of many emails I’ve sent to Adam Schiff’s office in the last 10 months. Glad to see he’s on the right side for once.
I refuse to support a funding bill that fails to address the Republican health care crisis.

And make health insurance affordable.

The American people clearly understand the stakes and the urgency. We must too.

I'm voting no.

My physicians already do this. Figuring out why my arm still hurts 6 months after a poorly placed IV and propofol infiltration has proven too difficult. Not a single health care provider I've encountered has made an attempt at critical thinking or problem solving.
