I have a shop! You like cats? Cute art? I got you covered.

Im honestly so tired after everything, and today is my last permission to do nothing day, and I don't think I have the energy to do a good promo. I'll see how I'm doing tomorrow.

Alternatively you get a list of tropes that mean nothing at all compared to the other 50 books on the shelf with the exact same set list of tropes.
Please, send me to read a page (Chicken House always suggest a page to read to get a flavour) or give me a plot description.

Pretty much ANY statistic you see cited to frighten you about vaccines comes from the VAERS database. (Including the recent evidence-free missive from Vinay Prasad). Here's why VAERS can NEVER be a proper source for population-level vaccine risk estimates.

Great series to read through, unique and chaotic but also refreshing
If you've been waiting for the right time to jump into The Eidyn Saga, now's your moment! The Lost War is just 99p all through November on Amazon. It's a #Scottish #EpicFantasy #mystery #conspiracy #thriller found family road trip with a #DnD vibe and a twist. Go, go, go! #FantasyBooks

The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

When I ended up homeless (due to DV), my best friend insisted we ask church to help us. We went to SO many churches including the ones we were members of. They would all "pray" for me. None actually helped.

YOU MATTER.

and to my chronically ill, disabled, closeted, homebound, or otherwise "invisible" friends & folks... you are ✨ valuable ✨

I refuse to submit myself to a system that says that productivity determines worth. Fuck that.

You exist, and you are a TREASURE. Nothing is required of you.
You matter.

Not in the way people usually say it.
Not in the “chin up” or “you’ve got this” way.

I mean you…exactly as you are right now. With all your hurt, your warmth, your doubts, your quiet strength.

You are not a burden.
You are a pulse…alive, human, enough.

And I’m glad you’re here 💙🫂

"architect or gardener" methods of work are overrated, I make dry stone walls where I've collected weird ideas for decades and when I wanna draw something I can just stack them where the weird edges naturally fit together.

At this point, things that weren't "AI" have been rebranded to be AI, doesn't mean they're more than algorithms or generative LLMs. It's marketing and hype and trying to make it seem fancier.
As I regularly note, "AI" at this point is an umbrella marketing term for a bunch or generative/machine learning/other formerly differently-termed processes that (of course) have no actual intelligence behind them. It means nothing useful for how the underlying computing proceeds. Thus the quotes.
I love how you used quotation marks around "AI." If you've been doing that all along, I'm kicking myself for not noticing. It's a misleading or just lying marketing term and we shouldn't accept and repeat it without pushback. Generative LLMs are not AI.

A thread about how artists are treated more like a natural resource to be mined by others, rather than as valued workers in the industries based on their work.
Let me tell you about the weird business that delivers art into our lives, and the impact it has on the long-term careers of artists. This is a thread prompted by yet another article on authors' incomes, and the inevitable reactions from the 'people-would-pay-if-it-was-worth-it-to-them' brigade. 1/

The thing about the relentless march of time is that you only get an ending (happy or otherwise) in fiction. Here in the real world no cause is ever lost forever even though we may not live to see it prevail. This is both hope and cautionary tale.
"This fucking sucks" and "all is lost" are two different sentences.

Don't say the second when you mean the first.
