LRT and on that note: unless you truly believe people should NOT play a game, you should not do "Not Recommended". nothing sucks more than a glowing review that says "everyone should play it but I said not recommended because it's not perfect/it's a visual novel/etc"

steams algorithm looks at the big thumbs up or thumbs down, not the actual words in your review. on my hands and knees begging people to stop doing this it literally only ever harms your favorite developers

i think video games should be a little inconvenient sometimes. like, save points only, no auto save. tasks taking a little more time and effort. maybe just overall requiring a little more animation to make it work instead of just trying to be as realistic/stimulating as possible.

this is exactly what turned me off of Fields of Mistria!! the farmer set of tools you can dig up for the museum having descriptions like "in the old days, farmers would use this to harvest crops/care for animals/etc" made me realize how FoM streamlined Every Single Thing to its simplest component...
