Jottings, just jottings.
From Liverpool, now Hampshire.
Everton fan.
Dad of two vile children.
Sophisticated humourist.
Fart oo nice.
I wish! Had to steal that pic from off the net.

Definitely not my actual team as I had one Peru player with an extra blob of plastic on his head. 🙂

Despite the red I loved this kit enough to have it as one of my subbuteo teams!

In today's edition of Just Bloody Govern FFS! we cover:

Getting off X

Not reading newspapers written by the wild eyed

Only saying 'difficult choices' when those choices are difficult for the speaker, NOT a very narrowly selected demographic

On the one hand, a one page procedure to be disseminated organisation wide. Get most people to adopt it most of the time:
huge benefit that starts to pay off quickly

On the other hand, some mult-billion pound project that will synergistically solve problems as yet to be defined.

Hmm. Tricky.

Have to say, the HD branding has grown on me. I like that it's distinctive and local.

But the fact that rights malarkey means we also get 'Everton Stadium' for high profile stuff like this - cherry on the cake!

Generally professional way that branding has been approached so far doesn't hurt either

I definitely agree re. importance/usefulness of awareness.
But even if adaptive narcissists are nearly 1:5 of population (v quick googling) also important we balance awareness with some initial general assumption of good faith in people? For own health?

What's your take on that?

Entirely. As you and Joel both point out, not the act most audiences want and certainly not the night I saw.

Mentioned it mostly because maybe it indicates he likes to toy with the idea of doing something like this, but not to commit.

I saw JC in Hull so must have been around 2004/5ish.

Second half he did a gag with a nonce/paedophile related punchline.
Got laugh, then told audience off for laughing at child abuse.

For a minute, it was an entirely different, much better act.

Audience did not like it. He backed off.

Broadcasters - especially the BBC - have been working hard to ensure they give a voice to the 25-35% of people willing to vote Reform (and harder groups within that, like anti-asylum protest and Tommy protest)

Need to pay as much attention to the unheard majority who fear that form of politics

Unsurprisingly,you are better informed than I.... : )

But no slouches in that band.

Love this version.

A smoothly oiled machine of a band, but one that has somehow found itself up at 10 am and in a room full of kids 🙂

(I know nothing of the actual recording details, if that's not obvious).

Given this seems like it will involve reworking the Emergency Operations Center, it looks like this work will mean the security assurance of the White House will have to be downgraded to the equivalent of, oh, say, that of an Air Force 1 incarnation built by a foreign power.
