The Snow Buntings are a relatively recent phenomenon at North Point. Somehow they decided that Crystal
Pier was sort of like the tundra and they picked it as a wintering destination some time back. Saw two there on Saturday.

Java is close to 16 years old, as far as we can reckon. He was a kitteen when he chose me, tapping me on the shoulder from behind from his enclosure at the SPCA. He gives no fucks anymore. He has been in decline for over a year, and now he doesn’t even complain when I pick him up.
