I was diagnosed with #HIV in 1998, when I was 30.
Many of my friends had died of AIDS. I did not expect to live to 50.

HIV treatment works.
Treatment also makes it impossible for me to pass HIV on during sex.

After tonight and tomorrow I’m broke and can’t keep a roof over my head. It’s about $66 (with tax, deposit not included) a night. I’m not going hungry rn I just don’t know what to do about shelter.

Dad's prognosis came down. Days to short months. If you love someone, make sure to let them know. This has been on the horizon for us for a long time but even then you never know when it'll all come crashing down and puts everything into perspective.

I went to NYC for vacation basically exactly 1 year ago today. I can absolutely see how it can be the epicentre for actual good things starting to happen across NA.

My dad has cancer, has for a decade. He's likely to die in the next 2 years at some point. It is times like these where I understand the desire to believe in an afterlife where my father will be rewarded and Dick Cheney will burn.
