But I think it's more likely he tries to cash in on his relationship with Trump for years to come with groups that are likely to be the last to abandon Trump due to their continued want for an authoritarian and/or theocratic state.

I think he will be working for the Family Research Council or some Christian nationalist organizations and will be selling the idea he was on a mission from God. He will throw Trump under the bus if that's what radical evangelicals do. He may say Trump was never really one of them.

Sadly it works because it gives permission to all MAGA to behave as shameless liars. It poisons discourse. It poisons the opportunity to have meaningful discourse.

Imagine what he does to staff

It's his default behavior for when people aren't going along with his efforts to shape his own reality. He keeps trying to feed them their lines. Manipulative operant conditioning.

I caught this movie this weekend. It's ok. This part is good

Turns out personalist rule is geopolitically erratic and consequential! It’s much easier to find a Wilhelm II than a Napoleon.

Why is this asshole interviewed as often as he is on Sunday morning news shows?

Learning how to properly carve turkey, chicken, a Christmas roast is one of those adult skills that you forget you don't possess until it comes up again.

That said it's one worth learning. Cut off turkey or chicken breasts as one piece and then cut slices. That way your turkey won't look like hers.

It's strange the play came out about the same time as Andrew Wiles announced a solution to Fermat's last theorem.

They play the no true scottsman game quite a bit with their own party. Republicans they don't like aren't real Republicans when they don't want them to be. They're neocons or rinos or the uniparty. Mostly I believe they just move onto some new grievance and avoid thinking about history.

One way or another Republicans will abandon Trump. It might be after he destroys the planet or it might be years after he is gone when some conservative gives them permission but it will happen.

they haven't been active supporters of authoritarianism. They need to admit to their lies and their behavior. We need to set standards for honest good faith discourse.

Watching all that happen really helped me understand that conservatives need permission from fellow conservatives to openly be critical of themselves.

The same will happen with Trump but when it does we need some sort of national reckoning with the truth. We can't just allow them to pretend as if

Conservatives before MAGA held onto the WMD lies until they just couldn't anymore and then sometime around 2008 they all just went silent. When Trump criticized Bush in 2015 they all pretended as if they'd always been against the war. They had no memory of how they called critics traitors.

Do you know if queries are displayed in Google trends based on the user's timezone and not the location being displayed?

Could a 12pm spike displayed for DC really be a 3pm EST spike if I'm looking this information up in Los Angeles?

There is a trick to editing natural dialogue. Let the voice of the person off camera begin before they're in the shot and then cut to them speaking (mostly). You might not do this for reasons of pacing, emphasis, style,. visual storytelling but these cuts seem like the timeline doesn't match.
November 28, 2025 at 8:14 AM
Yeah. It could be the editing but it has a scripted reality TV feel to it. Even if it isn't scripted it seems like they know what to say to get views and how to play things off as characters.

It comes off as unnatural, inauthentic though the parents could very well hold extreme views.
