Last full day in the Harbor. Low foliage from drought, no whale watches from noreaster. I’ve done all I can here in 3 trips that nature allows. Its sad to say, I’d probably only come back if I had someone along for the trip. I’d be thrilled to show someone around, but solo adventure is only so fun.

The concept of the Three Deaths has appeal to me: the actual death, the last time your name is said and the last time you are thought about. Are we truly able to find peace until the third one? And do some people truly want that peace? Perhaps for some, the erosion of the stone’s name is a blessing.

It also answered a deeper question of my worldview, finally realizing the concept of anti-nihilism. Even if we are doomed to die in a completely stupid, preventable way, you should still do your best to support and make that limited life better for everyone. Even if some folks do deserve a Bad Time.
