Saw a seal swimming in the Thames on the way to @rspb.bsky.social Rainham Marshes 🦭

They have a scope set up in the visitor centre and you can see seals basking on the opposite shore. There was a pup splashing about at the water’s edge 🌊

This is the outfall I mean. I often see them fly in and out of there or perched nearby. Well perched until I try and take a photo then they fly 😂

Yeah love Leigh but I mean specific places, sorry I didn’t explain clearly! It’s for someone who loves seafood but I’m veggie and don’t eat it so thought I’d crowd source opinion. They love Osborne’s but was thinking to try a new place.

Inspired by @thewateriswide.net recent sightings I went to #Hackney Marshes today & this female kingfisher was fishing at the relief channel on the Lea.

Two other kingfishers went past chasing each other on a few occasions.
