I already know this document is a fucking invoice, because a) I wrote it and b) it looks like a fucking invoice if you so much as glance at it. We didn't have to set a baby seal on fire to summarise this.

This morning's atrocities: Firefox(?) sneaking in a 'Ask AI Chatbot' option on the right-sodding-click menu. And Adobe Reader automatically generating a document summary (which means cloud processing!) despite my having turned GenAI features off multiple times.

Social media's always been like that, I guess, though it's (rightly) worse right now. I've never quite been able to square that, so I mostly trick myself into staying quiet and looking thoughtful instead.

It just feels trite and maybe off-tone to share the small things – the trivial, the minute-but-joyful, the interesting diversions. Like trying to have a nice conversation in a pub while desperately avoiding looking out the window.
