When I saw their bus, we were already east of Wisconsin Dells, probably the only reason a hockey team made of high schoolers and younger college kids would be traveling that far east on a day off. Just where were they going? They had at least a 5-hour drive ahead of them.

Yesterday, while driving home from the Twin Cities to Milwaukee, I passed the Austin Bruins junior hockey team bus. They played Thanksgiving night in Austin, MN (south-central part of the state) and had a game scheduled for Saturday in St. Cloud (NW of Minneapolis).

This is pretty cool. Learning today that this is the Movie Showcase issue (1982), not the original 1977 30c issue. Cool, nonetheless. Probably paid $1 for it in the ‘90s. #StarWars

Today I made my coolest thrifting find ever. This is an official AISA (American Indoor Soccer Association) soccer ball, most likely from the 1987-88 season. There have to be very few of these left in existence. The league changed its name to NPSL in 1990, folded in 2001.
I paid $3.99.
