I finished my #brightaxis tee at long last. Pretty good fit honestly. Soft and warm! Also wearing some jewelry from @birdieparker.bsky.social that I bought from a @lolabeanyarnco.com collab (I’ve got the yarn too…) as kind of a pre-flock purchase.

Picture two shows what using merino yak nylon, a brown gray base does for bright colors. Same dyes, approximately the same colorways.

I can’t remember the last time I did yarn cakes. And these kind of match the fiber - I’ve been using the blanks to soak up excess dye for a fun effect.

But it can look like nothing is coming off and you are "done," when in fact the use of another soap will release a whole other layer of dye. Which is why gloves are recommended. I typically start with gloves, but by the end of the session my hands often do look pretty bad.

At first, I thought I was just losing at yarn chicken but then I realized that the after thought was placed wrong on the first sock. Upon reflection, I now realize that means the leg gusset is now going up the side of the leg… socks are going in time out soon!
