I also got to meet someone who had studied bees in college and I got to learn some real neat stuff from them. IIRC, they said that bees will coordinate to flap their wings to generate a breeze from one opening of the hive to the other to keep themselves cool in the summer.

It was! It reminded me of that one quote from the Bee Movie intro, with how much lift it was generating compared to it's size.

I got to hold one of they guys once (at a bee farm demo). It was so cute! It started flapping/buzzing it's winds and generated a surprisingly strong lil gust of air for it's size.
