And now I get the pleasure of decorating again and working on crafts this winter and doing things that make my heart happy.

I hate how long it took me to do this but so proud of myself for doing it at last.

But I did it! I laid new flooring on my balcony! I painted my whole apartment! I moved all the furniture around myself and taped and painted and touched up and it was a lot of work but I did it! Look at me, breaking bad habits.

But this past year I've really embraced just doing what I want, even if I'm doing it on my own. My friends are all wonderful but I knew if I waited to do some of this with their help, I wouldn't ever get around to doing it! Stupid brain being stupid and all that.

I've spent most of my life feeling like I'm not doing what I should be doing and not letting myself do the things I wanted because I felt like I needed to wait for someone to give me permission. Or had to wait until someone would do it with me.
