I just updated CellWalk for the M5 Apple Vision Pro! This app really pushes the GPU (entire cells with billions of atoms) and it's a great way to test the M5.

CellWalk on M5 increases resolution and detail 1.5x over M2! Huge. It's super sharp and detailed. Apple Intelligence is also way faster.

I quietly released new features for Apple Vision Pro in the last update: Widgets and on-device AI explanations powered by Apple Intelligence.

I don't have an M5 yet, has anyone tried CellWalk on the M5 Apple Vision Pro?! How is it? more resolution (it should get more by default)?!

CellWalk is featured in Apple's new article on Apple Intelligence and Foundation Models.

It's a really fun new way to learn about concepts and terms in the app, and I really enjoyed building it.

Getting ready for my talk tomorrow on "Thoughtful Spatial Design" at KWDC25 tomorrow!

Hanging out at Fritz Coffee in Gangnam, Seoul. I love this location, nostalgic vibe.

I need to store a fair amount of data alongside my Git repository hosted on GitHub. I've been pricing things out:

GitHub LFS: $70/TB
LFS Cloudflare R2 + Webworker proxy: $15/TB
LFS Backblaze B2 + Cloudflare Webwork: $6/TB

I went with Cloudflare R2 for Git LFS and GitHub for the repo!

OpenAI’s new GPT-4o image generator is kind of mind-blowing, especially compared to what was state-of-the-art just days ago. Someone had to try the Ghibli trend on some crazy biology visuals, right? Here's my beloved whole cell model in Studio Ghibli, graffiti, cubism, abstract, and pop art style ✨

Christmas in June! I hope I can make it to this one and meet some of you.

What's on your wishlist for visionOS 3?

I'm personally hoping for big upgrades to CompositorServices and the ability to directly prompt Apple Intelligence.

What a nice sight to wake up to 😊🌀
The amazing work of @cellarchlab.com, @florentwaltz.bsky.social and their team made it on the cover of @science.org and I had the honor to create the visuals!

I hope you like this ATP (animated title page 😉 you see what I did there?).

We're on the cover of @science.org this week. Awesome work by @florentwaltz.bsky.social. #CryoET is reaching crazy resolutions inside cells, and this is just the beginning. Fantastic interpretation of the proton motive force by @verenaresch.bsky.social. Always a pleasure making #SciArt with you!🧪🧶🧬🌾

The Apple Vision Pro was released one year ago on this day. Like many developers, the lead up to the Apple Vision Pro launch was a blur of development. February 2nd felt like a global celebration of something extraordinary.

Congratulations to the teams at Apple for creating something truly magical!

I need your help!

I'm doing my first user study (ahhh!!), and I'm looking for a few awesome users to interview. If you have used my app CellWalk (any platform), would you be willing to hop on a zoom call with me for about 20-30 minutes?! I would love to buy you lunch (via PayPal). 🧪 #EduSky

I finally finished a new optimization for CW's render tech on Apple Vision Pro (profiling on an M2 iPad GPU). Super happy because it took a few weeks to implement.

This is the Terarosa POSCO branch (Seoul). Super beautiful place to work
