for the past few days, my mutuals tab has not allowed me to refresh since @marcelineleiman.bsky.social’s announcement regarding her new game, Phantasmic. (which you should check out! looks real neat!) and it seems she is an expert in magic, as she has cast all my mutuals into the shadow realm! help!

i think most people store board games like this. i think this is a normal way to do it

a tower of board games, about 1.5 meters tall, arranged in order from smallest to biggest, with the biggest games at the bottom. it consists of 22 games, and bohnanza stands proudly at the top

i’m so serious when i say that i believe a large amount of advertisements for ai are made to secretly be anti-ads on purpose by the creatives who make them. all of the apple ai ads, but a few in particular, make the main character look like a genuinely horrible person and it can’t be accidental

not to say there’s no skill involved of course. i just think it’s cool that game design is a space involving a lot of guesswork. there’s no formula you just kinda guess and check. you can get better at guessing but no matter how good you are you’ve gotta guess

game design is great because no one knows what they’re doing. you can listen to an interview with a “Good Designer” and they’ll be like “yeah i mean idk. i just kinda tried it like this and it worked”
