"Defer to without question" seems to be what Bari and company want. They demand respect from the people they show nothing but contempt for. And because they don't get the respect, they pretend to be oppressed even though they never STFU and are constantly given fawning covering as they whine

Stephanie Coontz has a great book titled "The Way We Never Were" that debunks all this nostalgia for an age that never existed and that, even if it did, would be awful for a lot of people

I absolutely love their interviews and discussions on YouTube. Highly informed conversations that don't shy away from the tensions and faults within current left-wing politics (without being holier-than-thou; in fact, lots of great prescriptions)

My district is now partnering with ChatGPT for educational stuff. Absolutely floors me the shortsightedness and dereliction of duty. And far too many of my colleagues are ready to jump right into the black box and call it home.
