Good morning - another very rare Sunday at home! Just about to start Vassily Grossman's Life and Fate fiction-wise, but also currently reading Kamala Harris' 107 Days and Atul Gawande's Being Mortal. Comics - Wonder Woman: Gods and Mortals by George Perez and others.

Thank you. There's (slightly) more recent artwork here, if you're interested - mostly dashed off quickly (bar Freema in part 6, whose beauty defied my quickfire technique, so I had to knuckle down...with Eccleston I cheated and used an old one!)

This Time, This Place (Part 1) - 50th Anniversary Fiction
Disclaimer: This is not an adventure as such, more a character study and a commemoration, though there is a story of sorts. I would like to...

Being *such* a fan, I did wonder if you might remember those! Old DW fans never die, they just regenerate into slightly more boring old people...

Thanks so much for these - made with such love for the series and so many jokes only dedicated Doctor Who fans will get! Suddenly I'm all excited about 60s Doctor Who again - more so than I was after the initial Film is Fabulous news...!

Halfway through and loving it so far. I'll watch anything created by Wainwright.

I know this routine quite well, being a big fan of the film's leading lady...Nelson was very very good, but didn't somehow have the star quality that both Astaire and Kelly showed.

Good afternoon. Coming to the end of Octavia Butler's Bloodchild, which has been slighty patchy but mostly very good (if not for the faint of heart!), also reading Jane Rule's Desert of the Heart, The Liverbirds (band, not TV show) biography and Essential Avengers Vol 7 (Englehart & Perez, mostly).

Good afternoon. Currently nearing the end of Zadie Smith's The Fraud, which as the Independent said, is 'splendidly modern and authentically old'. Also continuing my journey through Avengers history with Essential Volume 6, mostly written by Steve Englehart and illustrated by various hands.

Good afternoon. Interrupting my run of Marcia Muller P.I. novels (a series I heartily recommend) to try out Geraldine Brooks' A Year of Wonders. Really striking prose, thus far. Also continuing my run of vintage Avengers; near the end of Essential Volume 4.

Afternoon - almost evening! Currently reading last year's big one, Intermezzo by Sally Rooney. Also coming to the end of The Batgirl DC Showcase and most of the way through Reading Love & Rockets, by Marc Sobel.

Good morning (a rare one at home). Sadly I discovered M. John Harrison was ultimately not to my taste (beautifully written, didn't care about the people), but have just finished Everett's James, which was excellent; now reading David Thomson's How To Watch A Movie & Sobel's Reading Love & Rockets.
