As a starter. Here are a few very home made videos about the reality of Energy from Waste and carbon.

The BBC suggested that EfW was the dirtiest form of power generation. While technically true it's not very helpful.

I'm currently working on the next stage. To get waste treatment to net zero.

So I've had an account here for a while and have been very quiet but hoping to chat more about climate, energy and waste policy in the coming months

Happy Friday to all the reply guys saying how renewables are a terrible idea.

I hate to break it to you but >80% of new generation capacity built is now renewable energy, mainly solar and wind.

See the trend? Coal (black) and fossil gas (grey) getting squeezed more and more.

This is a remarkable statistic given the cited nations
Just five countries – US, Canada, Australia, Norway and the UK – are responsible for over half (51%) of all planned oil and gas field developments from now to 2050.

Climate policies versus behaviour...

I was invited to a secotor dinner. Organisers changed their default vegetarian food policy (to reduce emissions) following feedback from delegates last year.

People wanted meat. How do we drive behaviour change and bring people with us?

There is a sense of newness with this of wondering if the things like 'tweetups' (remember those) may happen again.

Also why the use of the term 'the other place' here when talking about the site formally known as twitter, feels like talk in the house of lords

I'm surprised after the lack of an enduring poll bounce the first time with heat pumps, that they think this could be a winning strategy. Feels like it will appeal to the base who would vote for them anyway
Rishi Sunak’s government will use next week’s king’s speech to advance expansion of North Sea oil and gas exploration in the hope of opening up a clear divide over the green agenda with Labour.
