They breed in Michigan so I “see” them every spring, see as in small back lit shapes bopping around at the very tops of trees and hearing them. The one in Texas was the only one I have ever seen the actual field marks on and can confirm that it is blue.

After they don’t get their phones, or their watches don’t work or their golden runners never arrive at what point to they finally get they are getting played ?

What a sweet baby! I had a lovely tortie girl that I adopted when I was in uni she was also a starved stray that turned into a hassock later in life, she lived in till she was 20. I learned all about “tortietute”

I have one of those beds that only turns on once there is weight on it, but it doesn’t get warm for her. I got her as an adult rescue so she never got used to outfits and thinks I’m trying to strangle her. I hope Kugelprinzessin (what a great name) enjoys their heated bed.

These are professions largely occupied by women, this makes it harder for women to lead independent lives. What’s next, no fault divorce? Birth control?

She doesn’t like clothing and she is unimpressed with Midwest winters, so I have an electric blanket for her that she lets me know when she wants to be tucked into it. I don’t like Midwest winters either after living in the PNW and it was originally my blanket but not for long, it is hers now.

Of course, they must have multiple recipes, I was looking at their thanksgiving guide. We bought a pumpkin pie yesterday for B as he is all about Pumpkin pie, something else I have also never made. We were fruit pie people

The King Arthur recipe that I read made it with brown sugar. I’ve never made a Pecan pie, pecan butter tarts, yes, and that’s made with strictly maple syrup, but Pecan Pie isn’t so much of a Canadian thing. For some reason I thought it was made with Golden syrup or corn syrup.

My husband and I are currently living in the US and are both green card holders, we have lived here for years and retired to a border town so we can easily visit our 🍁 family, but now it feels scary to cross the border despite having green cards and being very boring people.
