Probably not what you were thinking of but i made a comic based on the poem 'The Listeners'. It'll be up on my portfolio site when i finish that up this weekend.

I had completely forgotten this comic I made a couple years ago for a zine fair I had to drop out of :(. It's not super popular online but it still means a lot to me lol
Comic retelling of the Listeners. The poem part it gets up to is here: ‘Is there anybody there?’ said the Traveller, Knocking on the moonlit door; And his horse in the silence champed the grasses Of the forest’s ferny floor: And a bird flew up out of the turret, Above the Traveller’s head: And he smote upon the door again a second time; ‘Is there anybody there?’ he said. The last panel switches view from retelling the poem to a mother reading it to her child 2nd comic of the listeners poem. First three panels are showing the horror of the listener, and the enjoyment of the kid with their mother. The final two pages show the son as an adult reading it to their mother as she lies old and unconcious on a hospital bed. the part of the poem shown is this: But no one descended to the Traveller; No head from the leaf-fringed sill Leaned over and looked into his grey eyes, Where he stood perplexed and still. But only a host of phantom listeners That dwelt in the lone house then Stood listening in the quiet of the moonlight To that voice from the world of men: top panel shows three ghosts listening to the traveller, as light silhouettes in a darkened crosshatched room. Bottom 3 panels are a man reaching out to his mother, still reading the poem. Poem bit said it this: Stood thronging the faint moonbeams on the dark stair, That goes down to the empty hall, Hearkening in an air stirred and shaken By the lonely Traveller’s call.

Yes exactly. Its also frustrating because this was documented around the time (or before!) the moon landing. So this information has been known for decades and every multi mill or billion dollar ai company has ignored it.

Its basically humans ability to overhumanize computer software - especially when it 'talks' to us. It was first noticed in the late 60s with one of the first chatbots called 'Elisa'.
