Agreed. I'm Catholic, and my wife is Jewish. I couldn't even begin to contemplate saying something like that about my wife.

I taught Latin at a Catholic seminary where the students were encouraged to serve at the Latin Mass on Sundays. Neither I nor any of my students (most of whom are now priests) would say anything like this. As other commenters are noting, helping the poor and loving your neighbor is Catholicism 101.
