Bonus #Gannets! This is a BIF subadult still showing black variegation on wings, back and tail, but with the adult’s yellowish head. Probably breeding the following year to this photo.

For the #BirdOfTheDay #Gannets we have actual Northern Gannets doing a greeting display at the Great Saltee colony in Ireland.

For today’s #BirdOfTheDay I have a handsome Common Grackle standing on a stone #OnTheEdge of a stream.

My offering for #BirdOfTheDay #Warblers theme is this pretty Neotropical one, a Chestnut-sided Warbler on migration last May.
A small bird perched in a tree. It has white undersides with chestnut colored flanks, black and white cheeks and black stripe through its eye. Its forehead is yellow. It has a yellowish green wash to its grey wings. It has a short pointed thin black bill and black legs.

A garden “put to bed” for “a long winter’s nap”! What you don’t see, under their blanket of soil, are a pound or so of garlic cloves🤞🤞🤞!

Very nice! I have gone to Argentina for today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme of #CootsAndMoorhens with this Red Gartered Coot. Great diversity of Rallidae down there!
