Success! Associating with these Toxoids has made us seem strong. They approached us with an offer of bulwark-hood. We... augmented the terms to be beneficial. Could we have been greedier? Certainly.

That's not what the Tycan Greater Good is about, though
December 5, 2024 at 6:34 PM
As Egalitarians, it would be uncouth for us to force Cyberization on those who are wholly unwilling!
December 5, 2024 at 6:28 PM
The process to Cyberize us has begun!

The Tycan people enforce a societal theory of Shared Burdens; its only natural the state holds control over the Cybernetics industries.
December 5, 2024 at 6:07 PM
Our machine allies come with an unusual proposal- to offer association status to a nation across the galaxy from us.

The most opposite of sapient machines, a Toxoid race, fluent in Mutagenic means, genetically Overtuneing itself as it sees fit...

But, they are fanatic egalitarians.

Further explanation is unnecessary.

A Tundra world, unsuited to Tycan life, resided in our claimed space. With exotic Obsidian lakes, and an identified Pre-Sapient species, its our empire's last major Colonial project before shifting our efforts to cybernetic ascension!

Its been a hot minute since I had time to dig into #Stellaris proper, let's see where I was #afteractionreport #GrandStrategy #paradox

Oh right, ascension!

Its obvious- we shouldn't fully emulate our federation members, but our vulnerable, fungal flesh is weak...
December 5, 2024 at 5:38 PM
Its at this moment that this AAR shall pause, though; The USPC stands on the precipice of choosing an Ascendency path; cloning, cyberization, Psychic powers, or being like our federation neighbors and fully embracing machinehood.

Voices among the USPC's leadership are divided on their future...
November 21, 2024 at 7:03 AM
The combined might of ours and our federation's peacekeepers have ensured minimal losses to our first colony.

A Nation-wide moment of silence is issued, and compensatory memorial plush toys donated to the citizens of Pytham'Riab.
November 21, 2024 at 7:00 AM
We are under attack! One of our colonies is being assailed by space-based Worms. We must protect the peace.
November 21, 2024 at 6:56 AM
It isn't long after his ascendency that Uld Dagr is happy to see the USPC open its Grand Archive. While it may not have the rarest items on display in the galaxy, it is the start of something amazing.
November 21, 2024 at 6:44 AM
We are approached by an unknown, esteemed Xeno; Uld Dagr. He comes wishing to help our star nation know peace, and speaks of the ways of statecraft to help the betterment of Tycan people.
Naturally, he is hired and place in government near immediately, given his skills.

Stellaris is a fantasy game.
November 21, 2024 at 6:39 AM
Amid our Federation, we're able to take the time to internally expand; ascending the pre-sapients we identified on colonization, as well as proclaiming a tech ascendency with the completion of our expansion traditions!
November 21, 2024 at 6:32 AM
Mechanically, Federations aren't the greatest feature in Stellaris, but this is a bit of a Roleplay-Heavy run.

Feeling fear from a Hive claiming their worlds, the Tycan people would TOTALLY accept this Federation invitation; better the bot you can trust than the drone you don't know.
November 21, 2024 at 6:19 AM
...Surely its just a meme claim, right...?
November 21, 2024 at 6:15 AM
The Zenak come to us with deals; our absolute aggression in expansion is starting to hit natural walls, so we'll actually consider them!

The research is the most attractive at the moment for the influence cost (in my opinion). None are amazing, but I'd like to keep good relations along that border.
November 21, 2024 at 6:13 AM
To our south, we meet a new Xeno-- one who translated OUR language first! Authoritarians and militarists - yes, but also Xenophiles.

It is long past time to begin building our fleets, just to be safe.
November 21, 2024 at 6:02 AM
Far around the Galactic Core, we have found sensor data on a fearsome "Scavenger Bot". We opt not to go near such a system. We continue on our path of manifesting destiny, assuming traditions of Expansion.
November 21, 2024 at 5:55 AM
As we expand, we realize fully the traditions of Discovery. With the unification granted from us codifying these traditions, we proclaim that it is our Imperial Prerogative to claim as many worlds as we can, for the Safety of the Tycan people, and all the Pre-Sapients we may be able to uplift.
November 21, 2024 at 5:51 AM
Appropreately, the Tau Xenos identify themselves to our galactic south; Fanatic Egalitarian Robots!

We'll seek positive relations with them, possibly even a defensive pact in time, but not until we've used our influence to define our borders with the Hive to our north.
November 21, 2024 at 5:45 AM
...Just as I feared! The Kappa Xenos have been identified to the north.

A hive, with a similar civic to us; having Pre-Sapients on their worlds.

...If push comes to shove, we can at least help their foundslings rise to the galactic stage...
November 21, 2024 at 5:41 AM
Immediately, these are the borders we've got secured. Up to the north of where we've claimed isn't connected to the rest of the galaxy. We might be able to manifest our destiny up there, but there also might be an AI that spawned up there!
November 21, 2024 at 5:38 AM
Though there are world in our backyard to colonize, I'm going for Pytham as our first colony; It'll provide a good bulwark, plus I want to expand in this direction first, since its the least secure.

If an AI can take the worlds connected to our capital, the game's worth a restart anyway.
November 21, 2024 at 5:36 AM
And we high-roll; the First League is an amazing precursor to find!
November 21, 2024 at 5:34 AM
A path of rapid exploration is necessary for us to set our borders before the AI can claim systems from us. We're soon able to find our first Foreign empire-- a nation of individualist robots! A quick check of their ethics shows only Xenophile and Egalitarian; we'll be safe. For now.
