If you like AI tools, you’ll use Photoshop, if you don’t but need a powerful photo editing software, you’ll still use Photoshop. If you don’t need power, but convenience, you’ll use Canva.

While Affinity Photo has some wins over Photoshop, it’s overall now just a worse Photoshop.

I still have a bunch of spooktober games on my to play list because I only got around to a handful of submissions so far, but from what I've seen and heard it's once again an amazing year for spooktober submissions

But other than me being concerned about the changes they may or may not be making, I'm very happy with the Affinity Suite v2 so far and it wasn't difficult to learn at all

I use Affinity Publisher, but as far as I'm aware it's not downloadable right now. They are apparently announcing something big soon, so I'm a bit hesitant to recommend it. Who knows what state the software will be in once the store is back up 😅

I actually learned this in an audio class. You shouldn't use bass boosted headphones when working on audio. Your bass will probably be weaker than intended because you're listening to it through boosted headphones. This is the same principle but for contrast.

Personally I'd recommend setting your screen to whatever settings it comes with out of the box, no film mode or high contrast or whatever. Those settings may make things look nicer but when working on art, you'll probably end up picking colors that look dull on other screens.
