A new tracker has been set up called "Trump's Take" and it currently shows the criminal President has raked in more than $1.8 billion, while he refused to distribute SNAP benefits during his govt shut down and is blocking help for those with skyrocketing health care.

This is simultaneously the saddest, dumbest, and most encouraging aspect of the 'AI' bubble -- no one asked for this, no one wants it, and -- most importantly -- no one will pay for it.
"All of this falls apart if humans don't adopt the tech. This is why you've seen Meta cram its lame chatbots into WhatsApp and Instagram. This is why Notepad and Paint now have useless Copilot buttons on Windows. This is why Google Gemini wants to "help you" read and reply to your emails."
Analysis: OpenAI is a loss-making machine, how can it survive?
Don't call it a bubble! Loss-making monster OpenAI is on the hook for $1.4 trillion (with a T) in compute commitments. How can this go on?

Black Friday! The day we buy things we don’t need to impress people we don’t like with money we don’t have—all the day after giving gratitude for what we already have.

Makes Perfect Sense.😐

IF you shop today, shop local, shop small biz, shop minority owned, or shop women owned.

Yes! We need to be operating as the opposition, not submitting to bad-faith "bipartisanship" structures to gradually erode progress, in the best case.

We need loud, continuous opposition that reinforces an alternative, positive vision for America.
Pete Buttigieg would be a good DNC spokesperson.

He would do a GREAT job of going around the country, being on TV all the time, and putting out Dem messaging on EVERY issue.

He would be an excellent counter-Leavitt. And we NEED one. He should be holding regular press conferences and putting

High crimes and misdemeanors.
This morning, Trump called for the execution of 6 Members of Congress.

Trump must be removed from office. Today. He is a clear & present danger to this country. Invoke the 25th Amendment, or impeach & convict him. Now. He is an immediate danger to this country. He must be removed from office today.

Most Americans have no idea this is happening. GOP lawmakers are using a legal weapon called state preemption to override will of millions living in big cities that vote for progress & fairness. This is a nationwide power grab hiding in plain sight.

We talk about a crisis of masculinity in this country, and how young men are adrift -- right there is your reason why. Cowards all!
To be honest, male or female, someone should have called Trump out on being such a dick.

On the one hand, I'm glad to see real science being done in this area, to add weight to other arguments against Daylight Saving Time.

On the other hand, NO DUH!
“Sleep and circadian experts generally advocate for permanent Standard Time… Change between Standard Time and DST is not simply loss/gain of sleep, but rather misalignment between circadian and social clocks…”

I constantly hear folks in other parts of the country complain about the lack of affordable housing, especially single family homes and up-to-date, reasonably priced apartments.

As I drive around Erie county, seeing new construction of mixed-use buildings and condos, I feel proud to live here.
Communities across our nation need more housing, and Erie County is no different. That's why today we held our 4th Housing Summit to bring developers, contractors, public officials, and funders together to discuss ways to build more housing, especially affordable housing. 1/2

The soft pedaling language being used to describe the men in the Epstein files is enraging.

They didn’t “have sex with underage girls”.

They raped them.

Sex implies consent.

The survivors deserve better than this. Use the correct language. Say what these men did.

Oh, I love this. A new species of sea anemone was discovered recently that parks itself on top of a hermit crab shell like a hat. It seems to feed partly off the crab's faeces, but it also excretes a hard shell that extends the crab's home. In return, it's carried around the seafloor like a king.

This is what more people need to understand. These folks feel like winners when other people suffer. They see the world as zero-sum -- the more losers they create the better off they are.
It isn't just that many of them don't care if people starve. It's also that many of them want people to starve and die.
