One reason is that it was easier for me to rotate the model on its Z axis to check it was still in the camera frame (before doing any render).

Also it makes lighting "consistent" since object is always lighted from the same source position/orientation.

But the sphere binding is a nice idea too!

In Kofoin, units are pre-rendered as spritesheet using a python script in Blender 🐜

Gamedev in a nutshell

Two playmobil face to face in a 4 panel:
- Both playmobil are visible, the one of the left as the label "runs the code"
- Then only showing the right one with "1 error"

Steam just approuved the demo page of Kofoin (yeah I didnt knew it required two app/page: main game + demo), next to come is the demo build, it's getting real really quickly 👀

Working on game's UI really feels like fine-tunning a very small clock, but it is really satisfying when everything fits together!

Les parents qui écrivent les demandes de stage de leurs enfants en se faisant passer pour eux : ca se voit, et ca se voit que vous vous faites une image faussée de ce qu'ils aiment sur base d'un truc que vous ne comprennez pas.

Laissez les écrire un mail nul plein de fautes. C'est moins cringe.

Steam review of Wednesdays: "Genuinely, one of the hardest games I’ve ever had to play. Because of the sheer amount of emotional baggage and trauma this game forced me to realise about my own past. The story does indeed touch upon heavy heavy subjects.
And in some way, I feel like. Playing this game has definitely made me realise I need a lot of help. And definitely a lot of the messaging and meaning is something I can apply to my own life. I guess now it’s time for me to get therapy. 10/10 I’m going to become a better person because this game. "
