And I literally said "wow" when I walked into the Dixon public library, which drew a smile and a chuckle from the librarian at the main desk, because I really dig this old school wood type architecture which to be fair, I don't know what it's called but I know I like it.
It's a picture of the old library building with modern accoutrement but the top half is dark wood and chandeliers and a name plaque stretching. Almost the length of the wall that says "O. B. Dodge Library Building" in that font where where "u"s are "V"s and that frankly cracks me up.

Two distressed teenagers and one smiling small boy. Look over the edge into a fantasy land of bright colors filled with castles and dinosaurs and balloons and lollipops and all manner of of childish. Wonder in the foreground a young boy rides on an adult's adult male's shoulders. It's bananas in the best way. We got Maddy in 2016. He was a hyper little puppy. He chewed a hole in the bathroom wall and liked to escape the yard. He was well known in the neighborhood. He loved puppies, doting over the two batches of puppies that occurred next door. What really made him my dog is, if I was home, and there was a thunderstorm or fireworks, he would come to me and cuddle or lay at my feet. I will miss him forever.

Case in point: $60 worth of Emotional Support Lego...
My three emotional support Lego sets are; the happy plants botanicals, the Marvel iron Man and War machine versus hammer drones, and because I can't resist any and all forms of Lego batmobiles, the Batman and batmobile versus Mr. Freeze set. I'm sure all are available in your holiday shopping sections at your retailers of choice.

I took a picture of the Moon this morning which of course even though the sun's up you can still see it was a really cool cloud formation really close to it. But if I gone to clouds then you couldn't see the detail on the moon and this was the best shot of the series that I took

Road trip today. Stopped at the Bradford Public Library and almost stole their copies of THE STAND and PET SEMATARY.

A copy of from what I believe to be a first edition of Stephen King's the stand, it's pale white color color with a Luke Skywalker looking dude and a giant beaked person. I don't know swinging a scythe. It's weird it was the '70s. What do you want? What you can't see unfortunately, is the fact that it's been well read. They're just the little tears on the cover, The slight discoloration on the pages... It's been well read, but also cared for. It's the weathering that turns it from just a book into a work of art. A five drawer wide three drawer High card catalog that is currently serving as a coffee station at the Bradford Public Library. There is a Keurig machine on the top and if you open the drawers, they're filled with little K-Cups instead of note cards. It's both cute and depressing. A well-worn copy of Stephen King's pet cemetery original cover with the green-eyed cat properly illustrated it's got a plastic cover over it, but the book still shows signs of wear but gentle Wear as if it's been reread quite a bit. I love finding books that look like this. So jealous!.

Had to be Stephen King's "Christine," in the original paperback cover that I have and my cover is torn to crap and I've actually put clear tape over most of it just to hold it together. If I ever travel to Maine it's coming with me on the extraordinarily random chance that I would run into Stephen King and I would ask him to sign it for me. And of course in my head he absolutely would because he's a nice guy like that.
