Not sure the casual Columbus sports fan appreciated what had in Darlington Nagbe, who reportedly will retire at season’s end. One of the great athletes to call our city home. Won 2 of his 4 MLS Cups w/ #Crew96. Selfless teammate. Tireless worker. Midfield hoss. Thanks for the great memories.

They miss Luis Diaz and his pace and pressing. They don’t have a right back. Maybe this group jells later in the season to make a Cup run, but hard to see them competing for a league given Arsenal’s form. Too many players underperforming. There are more league losses coming.

Slot dealing with his first #LFC crisis. Three consecutive defeats. Guys playing out of position. Salah looks like a shell of himself. Wirtz is lost. Yes, the midweek trip to Turkey did them no favors, but Liverpool are a mess. Injury-riddled Chelsea went right thru them for the winner. (1/2)

Nine games into season, #LFC remain a team w/ no offensive fluidity. Created maybe one decent chance at Galatasaray in 1-0 loss. One player in form, Ekitike, goes off injured. So does Alisson after another Konate gaffe.

Tough times for Liverpool. Wirtz looked better, but it’s a low bar right now.

#LFC deserved nothing from that game. Palace the better team by miles. Should have had 5 or 6 goals if not for Alisson.

Allowed 2 set-piece goals, including last-second winner.

Glasner improves to 2-0-1 v Liverpool. Palace the embodiment of a team. LFC are a collection of individuals, right now

I understand why Slot wants to look at Wirtz on the wing, but he had better be ready to track back with Daniel Munoz on the prowl. Gakpo is slumping offensively, but he never shirks his defensive responsibilities. #LFC

Crystal Palace is not the best team #LFC have faced thus far, but they are the most well-coached. Oliver Glasner is going to be elsewhere soon enough, but right now he has the Eagles on a 17-game unbeaten run, dating to last season. Big test for Liverpool.

#LFC advance in Carabao Cup at significant expense. Heartbreaking injury to Leoni who, along w/ fellow Paisan Chiesa, were Liverpool’s best players. Team depth at center back is worrying. Gomez struggled mightily. Ekitike getting 2nd yellow for taking shirt off is mind boggling. (1/2)

A decade ago, #Browns gave away everyone — Joe Haden to the Steelers!!! — in order to tank. They are smarter this time around. Resisted temptation to trade Myles for picks. As a result, Browns have a ready-made defense if they can find a QB in 2026 draft.

Gravenberch obviously man of the match, but Slot got lineup right in a rivalry game. Left out Wirtz, no easy call, & went back to old midfield. Gravenberch & Hugo w/ beautiful goals. Thought both fullbacks played well. Bradley held his own against Grealish. Still too loose in possession w/ lead.
