I just joined Sally from Tesco Riverside for their Winter Food Collection for Bournemouth Foodbank.

A huge thank you to everyone who supports this effort—whether by donating food or giving their time to volunteer. 🥫💚

I’ve just got home from a couple of hours with the 22nd Bournemouth Guides & Rangers ❤️

Great to spend my second year in a row, taking questions and providing answers. Take a look—this group of young girls will go far, they are going to make the world a better place 🌟

I loved spending time with Year 10 Citizenship students at St Peter’s for UK Parliament Week.

We talked about:
👉 How we tackle violence against women and girls
👉 The pressures young people face when thinking about higher education
👉 Their views on votes at 16

Yesterday, I brought together schools, our universities, and the amazing third-sector organisations working with children and families in Bournemouth so they could share their experiences of children’s social care with Josh MacAlister, Minister for Children and Families.

Children are 20% of our population, and 100% of our future. I’ve secured an £18 million national fund, confirmed in yesterday's Budget, and now I’m pushing for Bournemouth East to benefit.

Bournemouth’s full of young people with potential.

New funding announced in today's Budget means our small and medium-sized businesses can take on apprentices under 25 for free, helping that talent turn into real careers.

Childhood poverty casts a long shadow. Abolishing the two-child benefit cap is the right decision, and it will change the course of children’s lives for the better.

It’s National Care Leavers’ Month, and I’m truly honoured to have spent this evening with young care-experienced campaigners, listening to their hopes for a better care system.

On Saturday, it was a pleasure to join Boscombe Youth Fiddle Orchestra as their founder, Jack, received the High Sheriff of Dorset's Award.

This orchestra has given so many young people confidence, community, and the joy of music, and it was wonderful to see that recognised! 🎻

Today is White Ribbon Day, and it’s a moment to reflect on the role we all play in ending domestic violence, because it's vital #WeSpeakUp.

Before I was elected, I spent years running domestic abuse services, working alongside survivors and frontline workers. I carry their experiences with me.

Empty homes, shuttered shops, and families priced out. Offshoring is hurting Bournemouth now, and it's time to lift the veil on who really owns what.

My latest Echo column looks at offshore property ownership in Bournemouth East and why transparency matters. 👇

I was pleased to recently cut the ribbon on the newly reopened The Athelstan Arms, Bournemouth with its brilliant operator Matt 🥳

After a makeover of £420,000+ the pub looks transformed. Here’s to a great new chapter for the pub team, visitors, and local community!

Thanks to everyone who stopped to talk! We picked up really important casework and loved seeing the Christmas trees going up! 🐶🎄

Every child deserves the chance to play — and Rachel Reeves agrees. The Chancellor has been an incredibly strong supporter of investment in playgrounds and Pride in Place, and now millions are being ploughed into play areas across the country 🛝❤️

In case you missed it 🚨

Soon it'll be illegal for touts to try and charge you £100s for seats in the gods. 👇

Richard and Ben from Morebus joined me in the office recently to go through the bus questions residents bring up time and again.

Public transport only works when people can trust it, and I’ll keep pushing for improvements and feeding your experiences directly into these conversations.

Congratulations to NCI Hengistbury Head on another successful year. I joined their AGM at St Nicholas Church last night to thank the team and highlight just how vital the lookout is in keeping people safe 🌊

Every child deserves hope and opportunity! 🌟

This World Children’s Day, we need better play spaces, stronger family support, and healthier food 🛝🏡🥦

I’m pleased to see the government rolling out brilliant new breakfast clubs and Sure Start–style services! ❤️

Chef Russ from Pokesdown Community Primary took his school menu all the way to Downing Street, and it was a privilege to be there with him.

He showed the Prime Minister what healthier, fresher school meals can look like when a brilliant chef is given the space and support to do what he does best. 👇

Christmas arrived early at the office today. 🎄

I’ve been looking through the incredible entries to my Christmas card competition. It's safe to say that Bournemouth’s young artists have outdone themselves.

Choosing a winner is going to be very difficult… the elves have their work cut out!

No one should be made to feel unloved or unlovable because of who they are. This Transgender Awareness Week, I want to reaffirm what I said in Parliament: trans people deserve protection, dignity, and respect. 🏳️‍⚧️❤️

A small but important change: from 1 December, £120,000 of your deposited money will be protected if your bank or building society collapses. Peace of mind matters.

Yesterday, I highlighted the incredible work of the Poole & District Branch of Parkinson’s UK, and the reality faced by Carla’s husband when vital medication wasn’t available in time.

The government must do more to speed up access to support and medication.

Many residents have contacted me with concerns about BCP Council’s plans for land in and around Solent Meads and how it may be used for biodiversity projects.

I’ve raised these concerns with the Council, who have now set out their explanation of the proposals (link below).
