I like this one, with the opacity if I'm really trying to convey quietness. Also not a fan of the caps switch for whispering, but I like it for uh, huh, um, etc.
I don't know if I think we've hit the ideal whisper design as a people yet. I think it could be better.

Hi to my new lettering people, wondering if anyone's aware of this having been done.
I asked a guy I know that at one point was lettering 20% of DC's books and he said "I've never even used graphic styles" so he was no help.

After yesterday's Lettering Stack™ I kinda wanted to just pile up all my sound effects just to see how the pile looks, annnnd I like it.

I liked Frankenstein but mannn I wish I could figure out what it is about GDT's style that leaves me cold because on paper it's got that rich, velvety gothic victorian vibe I always say I want more of.
Whatever, I dug it. I mostly wish the creature design matched Wrightson's a bit more #TeamNoNose

Drew Struzan has died at 78. The guy that painted (almost) all of your favorite movie posters. Indiana Jones, ET, Shawshank, The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China, Star Wars, Muppets, a Black Sabbath album cover, etc.
The John Williams of illustrators, and one of the best to ever do it.

I was just telling a friend about how fondly I'm looking forward to trying these. I told her that I saw them at a Walgreens but haven't gotten them yet.
She asked why I didn't get them from the Walgreens, and I said "it felt like getting a wedding ring at a thrift shop."
It's just too important.
