Indeed. Also, the little notch at the rear of the view plate was inspired by my KitchenAid mixer; I took every opportunity early on to push subtle details marking MB as an appliance.

More #Murderbot stuff; early days (pre-casting). I pitched a "living helmet" design long before we'd settled on using The Company's logo as MB's face. I'd hoped this could cover the opaque/transparent iterations, as well as provide some fearsome, almost Rorschach-blot-esue patterns for intimidation.

The books are badass. I listened to them while running on a treadmill over the course of a month or so; the adrenaline mixed perfectly with the audiobook editions.

They have faced a lot of challenges in adaptation thus far, but they're doing an excellent job - despite the little things I miss from the books. Hopeful this will be handled the same way (well or not at all).
