I wish this guide for communicating with autistic people wasn't described as 'for parents & carers'. Most of the advice applies to adults communicating with autistic adults - especially when someone is feeling overwhelmed & their autistic traits are more obvious.

I know we have all snickered at end users who do something silly, but we must ensure they aren’t afraid to submit a bad email or something suspicious again. Creating an empathetic & supportive space where end users feel comfortable & safe is the first step to building a security-first organization.
That users are stupid. We live and breathe security, so we see all the ways things could go wrong; they, meanwhile, are just trying to live their lives. You need to be able to empathize with users to see the gaps you need to cover for them, including making systems to complex to use securely.
