My newest kidlit rec: "Best Nerds Forever".
Plays fairly lighthearted for a story about a dead middle-schooler, but it doesn't shy away from the emotional weight you'd expect, esp in all the mourning from his family & friend group. But even as a ghost, it's not too late for him to properly live.

Okay, #HazbinHotel season 2 was damn good before, but these last couple episodes are suddenly turning this into legit peak TV.

"Bat-Fam" is fun & cute from what I've seen so far, but I find it a WEIRD choice to open it just casually going "oh BTW, there's this ex-villain now living with them that didn't exist in the pilot movie & also has age-regressed".
Really sounds like the sort of thing that deserves more setup y'know?

The sudden, overdramatic mood shifts... The extended focus on such a specific, seemingly pointless subject... The stupidly repetitive, simplistic lyrics... The constant PAIN on display... It all just CLICKS.

"Elio" is definitely a flawed movie. I think everything that can be said about it, good and bad, has been said by now.
But I don't think I will ever be convinced that this film isn't BEAUTIFUL in terms of its lighting, coloring, atmosphere, and sound mixing.
