House Dad.
Wait rented sex dolls? Not really my scene but I imagine it's the kind of thing you'd want from new.

Yeah. He was much less rando than Rachel Reeves uncle, so it's not a fair comparison. But hypothetically if Jeremy Hunt had been PM he wouldn't have been nearly so visible.

Stanley Johnson was interviewed more than most of the cabinet at the time.

She's like that confidently incorrect archetype at a party. I don't think they do it consciously it's a kind of verbal diarrhoea.

I'm in this photo and I don't like it.

Working in teams, you have 20 minutes to prepare a flipchart presentation and present to the group on the topic of which generation is the most entitled.

Thanks. I imagine trading on those releases is quite intense. The balance between being fast and being right must be fine.
November 27, 2025 at 3:52 PM
Side question. How did the OBR early release affect trades. Did people make / lose money in a significant way that they wouldn't have done so anyway 2 hours later?

Young people do migrate for jobs, but anecdotally generally the ones I know have already been made. They work for a bank or Intentional company etc already. Having a shit time of it and going I'm emigrating to say Germany for work is rare/hard. (And more people do it for adventure than do for jobs.)
November 27, 2025 at 2:29 PM
But either way if the net migration point was well understood, it's not going to change views, because it's not about the number of people, but the type of people. Grim
November 27, 2025 at 1:03 PM
Yes. I believe so. But as a grouping I'll give the benefit of the doubt there are some in there not using it as cover to not be seen as sitting in the first group. Not a lot I imagine though.
November 27, 2025 at 1:01 PM
Yes. If net migration was nil but immigration say 500k. The 'cultural replacement' racist objectors would still have a big issue with it. The net migration argument only works on the "strain on services" objectors group. Who I guess are not the majority.

You could write a bingo card of future Allister Heath headlines that wouldn't take all that long to get a line.

They can't agree which gets the master bedroom so both sleep in their childhood bedrooms unchanged since 1974. Investment bankers wife has to have the top bunk due to his gout.

Someone who did a knee jerk denial instead of fessing up, now getting in deeper and deeper as £££ getting spent on outside consultants. Eek

And the screaming against a revaluation will be odd. "No let's keep the 35 years old wildly inaccurate valuation, I like that better" is a bit incoherent. Labour would also a slightly cynical north/south equity card to play in the narrative, which Reform would find a bit awkward to argue against.

Is it a fishing > hunting > guns > gun out of my cold dead hands libertarianism > guns and cammo > militia > white supremecy path.
November 27, 2025 at 10:05 AM
100%, full replacement with a good tax I'm up for. Not a stamp duty fan. But selective relief for people sitting on the vast majority of property wealth is a big fuck off from me.
November 27, 2025 at 8:17 AM
The telegraph would propose a stamp duty cut for over 65's, ( they know who butters their bread I guess). But this suggestion boils my piss. I'm much happier with the stick than the carrot in this case to get people downsizing.

And of course she'll be unable to find somewhere suitable for an old person nearby for less than £2m. London famously has absolutely zero flats.
November 27, 2025 at 7:47 AM
Yeah it's hard the man from the beeb being the arbiter of opinion is bad. But everyone having wildly different interpretations of absolutely everything, and zero editorial control over facts isn't exactly ideal either.
November 26, 2025 at 6:21 PM
Probably someone trying to derailleur the budget process.
November 26, 2025 at 6:15 PM
It's generational but also deeper. Whether algorithmic or like here self selecting every single person's feed is wildly different. E.g. on any social media platform tonight, take any 10 people and the budget posts they are seeing are wildly* different. We're splintered to a thousand pieces.
