Yesterday saw me making a journey which would have been much easier if this rail service existed, and wondering - not for the first time - why there has been absolute silence about when it might actually start (the answer is, of course, late stage capitalism)

Watching the excellent John Williams as the Scotland Yard inspector in Dial M for Murder, it struck me that he regularly wears a raincoat, and at one point turns back to ask Ray Milland "just one more thing", so basically Alfred Hitchcock invented Columbo...
