Preemptive Presumptions

Regression is a losing game. Anyone who talks about the wanting to go back to a given time or even keeping things the way they are is someone who is so bored of life that they have to be mired in an idea of a time where they weren't bored of life, when in reality such a time wasn't any less boring than it is now. The only thing that keeps life from being boring isn't squalling in the nostalgia that can never be reinvented, but to take the setting you're in and make something of it to better yourself and those around you. A government cannot and will never force regression onto its people no matter how much it's enforced because humans progress by nature and they can only be bought for so long into the idea that their only option in life is to regress. And this government *Is* failing in that endeavor every day.
