So, uhm, this illustration took 60 hours (pure work time) just for the rendering progress. Then you can add 20 hours on top of that for research and sketching, and then 30 hours for breaks, and we're at 110 hours for one (1) illustration.
How did this happen 😱

舞台という牢籠の内に囚われし蝶化の異形たちは、妖しくも甘やかな声で歌を紡ぎ、
その旋律は、精緻なる機械仕掛けの音楽と絡み合い、波のように寄せては返す。

やがて、灰に咲き乱れる花々に呑まれ、劇場は廃墟と成り果てたが――
今なお、その深奥にて、名状しがたい歌は繰り返し歌い継がれている。
もはや誰一人として、それを聴く者もいないというのに。

And then I hate everything, question myself whether I even know what I'm doing, and wonder how I could be so arrogant to assume I somehow spawned the ability to get something done "normally" (cue adhd) and I feel like a failure, because I *am* perpetually failing 😢

The worst part of my art process if when it's like 90% done and I can already see the finish line. But then no matter how fast and hard I run, the finish line isn't getting any closer. I think I'm almost done but I actually need xx more hours of pure work time..... *dies*

Yagaajima cave: This is a species of land-dwelling isopod endemic to Kume, with distinct yellow spots. It has a Japanese common name but is a scientifically undescribed species (Ligia sp.). Here in the cave it is 800m away from the closest seashore, where isopods of this genus are usually found.

Convent
The artwork shows a ceremony on a patio. There's a round pool in the center of the image and a round arch in the background. Sisters of the convent are placed in different locations performing different parts of the ritual. Half of them wear a peacock mask and half of them wear sun-like headpieces. There's a woman in the center on the horse. She wears a blue dress decorated with mosaic-like patterns. The horse is covered with blue patterns and stands still above the water. Two twins are sitting on the floor surrounded by large lilies. Behind them one sister plays a harp and another one is holding two bowls with mysterious light. Sometimes it's also the opposite though, so it's rocket science after all I guess. Too many of my artworks were drawn after being awake for 30+ hours with my mushy brain solely being held together by cheesy Eurobeat 🤣. (Aka Executive-dysfunctioning so long til you enter sleep deprivation high)
