I just spent two weeks in Canada and it's difficult to truly appreciate how insane America is until you view it externally.
I cannot tell you how many Canadians asked me some variation of "what's wrong with America." I had to explain that around 40% of our population is functionally braindead.

I've been struggling to come up with a solution to the issue of low information voters significantly outnumbering the general educated public. Just like in idiocracy, we are significantly outnumbered and I don't see a way out of this.

one of the worst takes i've seen in some time. it's not corrupt unless you put it in writing that you're violating the law!
Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.

I've come to realize that for Trump supporters, the Constitution and the Bible are simply instruments to beat their opponents with when the time is convenient.
They have read neither. And even if they had, they would cherry pick the items that are convenient depending on the argument of the moment.
