I wrote this article 10 years ago as a bit of a vent about Firefox; it did Some Numbers at the time because the pain of the Australis redesign was pretty fresh, so it resonated with a lot of people (& annoyed others).

is it a signal that the higher-quality email spam I get is shifting from "AI" to "quantum"
(also since when did The Economist start sending spam? as far as I can tell this is a legit email from them but I've never had any actual relationship with them - they've bought my email address somewhere)
