i got a bit done today which was putting in the extras for his left arm as well as making a ribbon cable from scratch as i couldn’t find one at the right size (later i found one online lol) and gluing on a bunch of D-cell batteries to the ribbon cable bandolier

well i’ve burned up two more boards, ine was due to power and the second was due to the function buttons screwing up so i’ve order 2 more boards and if they go im scraping this entire fucking project

all the body parts have finished printing, have been assembled and had a primer coat so all that is left to do is the rear wheel, tracks, the multi too and the tool box also extra parts but some of those might have to wait until next month as ive already spent alot on this project this month

the new lip light board is installed and all the wires are shortened so hopefully fingers crossed it works and all fits into the head

J5’s head is nearly finished just got to do some soldering to the lip light board and add some more copper strands to the mohawk

i did done gooffed lol but an easy fix the plugs for the power stick out too much so i will have to solder directly to the board which isn’t ideal as i wanted it modular but iv i can find some spare connectors i should be good

well smeg i started putting primer on the j5 parts and i either sprayed too much or the temperature/air moisture messed up the surface finish oh well i can lightly sand it so it’s not a loss

i might get flagged for the audio but the J5 lip light setup is working, i will have to dial it in a bit and replace the board lights with the final red leds butin all im super happy

happy days the audio level indicator fits into the head plate with lots of extra space but im still unsure where to put the speaker at the moment as i need to print the rest of the model and see where i get better sound

mmm kinda torn between these two silversfor J5, the left is gw runefang steel and the right is a metallic silver from pēbeo which is more glittery and has a slightly blue/purple shine, i may go with left as it’s a flat color which is more in line with J5

first print done and other than few layer line shifts which are superficial due to my raft messing up, unfortunately the cassette i designed for holding the lip lights needs a re designed as i need to fit in at least 10 leds for the front

just got one part more to create and all the punk johnny extras will be completed and from what i can tell they are a million times better than anything online that i could find and i will be giving these away for free with an open license
